Livestrong Greater Hartford Area has some exciting things going on in 2010. We have our 3rd annual Hartford Fireants Golf Outing, Livestrong Day 2010, Cancer Awareness day with the Rockcats and are in the process of organizing a pasta dinner. Livestrong GHA will also be represented this November on "Team Livestrong" as our founder Roger Levesque joins them in the 26.2 mile ING NYC Marathon. The "Donate" link above will send you to his "Team Livestrong" donation web page where any donation will help. To take part in the NYC Marathon he had to commit to raising $3,500 so spread the word and share the link. The Lance Armstrong Foundation unites, inspires and empowers people affected by cancer so they can live life on their own terms. They give you personal support and programs that help on the road to recovery. They give you the tools needed to stay organized throughout your difficult and confusing journey. They will help to answer any questions you may have, no matter how difficult they may be to ask.
As members of Livestrong GHA we raise awareness and funds locally in support of the Lance Armstrong Foundation's effort to fight cancer on a Global level. We keep our members in touch with the LAF's efforts through emails as well as the efforts of other members and there cancer awareness or fundraising events . We give support, in our local comunities, to whomever or for whatever is needed in any ones fight on cancer and or road to recovery. Getting involved allows you to "Be The Change You Wish Would Happen"
