          The Lance Armstrong Foundation unites, inspires and empowers people affected by cancer so they can live life on their own terms. They give you personal support and programs that help on the road to recovery. They give you the tools needed to stay organized throughout your difficult and confusing journey. They will help to answer any questions you may have, no matter how difficult they may be to ask.                      

           As members of Livestrong GHA we raise awareness and funds locally in support of the Lance Armstrong Foundation's effort to fight cancer on a Global level. We keep our members in touch with the LAF's efforts through emails as well as the efforts of other members and there cancer awareness or fundraising events . We give support, in our local comunities, to whomever or for whatever is needed in any ones fight on cancer and or road to recovery.      Livestrong GHA still has a few more events in 2010 so please visit our events section to view them. Here is idea of what is coming up. The Joker's of Doom Alumni picnic to benefit Livestrong is September 18th and our 3rd annual Livestrong Day Pick-Up Hockey Fundraiser for Cancer is Saturday October 2nd. On November 7th I am running in the NYC Marathon as a member of Team Livestrong, a team of Livestrong advocates from all over the country. You can click the "Donate" link above to help me meet my fundraising goal. We have also secured a spot in the NBC 30 Health and Wellness Festival October 16-17 10am-5pm as a not for profit, where we will be able to reach out to thousands of people throughout the weekend. This will be a great opportunity to reach people from all over the state that have not heard of our group. Any one that is interested in volunteering at any of our events can just email me and let me know. We are looking forward to closing out 2010 with a bang.
